An O-Ring is a simple and versatile ring-shaped packing or sealing device with a circular cross section.The opposite side of an O Ring are squeezed between the walls of the cavity or gland into which the O -Ring is installed.The O-ring may be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between the parts and the O-ring. Dynamic examples include rotating pump shafts and hydraulic cylinder pistons where they can seal tens of megapascals (thousands of psi) of pressure.
